By 1986, Peter Miller's business had progressed to several machines and employees as well as a name change to P. Miller Contractors Pty Ltd. Works had diversified to include drainage, subdivisions and reservior construction. The business growth saw the need for relocation into a larger premises, which saw the sale of the original depot and soil yard business. In 1992 & 1994 Peter's two sons, Jay and Matt, joined the business which expanded yet again into larger works and projects and even more equipment. In 2000 the company had outgrown it's second premises and the construction of special purpose facility began, which is the present complex on Stawell Road, Horsham. Along with this came the diversification of the company into separate areas of specilisation which include ... civil construction, plant hire, mining hire, equipment sales, demolition. Today, Miller Contractors is involved in major projects across Victoria and services its valued clients in the private sector, local and state government and mining sectors.

P & L Miller Contractors commenced in the early 1980s as a one machine company with an Allis Charmers grader. Demand quickly grew from simply grading roads to full road construction requiring the addition of equipment and the business' first employee. In addition to this the company's first premises were built which also included a soil yard.
